Frustrated !

I just want to start out by saying I'm sorry as I'm going to bitch for a short while...

It's seems every little *@#^ing side effect you can get - I'm experiencing and I'm sick of it!

I was told the Taxol is better tolerated and I shouldn't experience any side effects until the 2nd treatment.

Lies!

My left hand feels like I'm wearing a glove and these muscle aches are a pain in the ass (literally).

I'm tired of waking myself up at night with coughing from this stupid head cold I've had since starting chemo.  The damn thing is as stubborn as me, because it refuses to go away!

Okay, on a positive note only 3 more treatments! Yay!

This is my friend Paige who is leaving for new experiences up north and I want to wish her the very best of luck and happiness.

I also want to say hi to all my family and friends in Thailand. You are in my heart and prayers. I hope you can return to your homes soon with limited or no damage from the deluge of flood waters.

I pray for a speedy recovery for everyone there.

Just when I was starting to feel better ~ another Round of Chemo is due !

I just want to say as lousy as I felt 3 weeks ago I am now feeling amazingly alive and high spirits. This monday, though its time for the final round of the AC, which is the hardest chemo I am going to take for the last time !

Above,
My Oncologist, Dr Rivandranathan

This is Michelle, one of the RNs, at the Infusion Ctr,  we've know each other for a couple of years now.

I've been taking the dogs for walks, gardening and I even went out to lunch with another breast cancer survivor. Right now I'm loving my life.

I want to thank the girls, Rhonna, Patti, Renee,Tracy, Jenny, Nancy, Marjan, and Janet for the gift certificates. They will come in very handy.

The other thing I wanted to comment on is how many of my friends are excellent chefs. I am continuely impressed by your fantastic dishes! Thank you from Randy & I !!!

I got really sick!

Oct 4th, 2011
Hi Everyone,

I know it's been awhile since my last blog entry and no I haven't given up on blogging.

About a week later after my last post, my cold came back with fury and turned into bronchitis. I ended up in the hosptial for 3 days in reverse isolation and on antibiotics.

I have never felt so weak in my life!

I want to thank all the Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, M.As., and Docs at Grossmont Hospital who made it just a little less scary.

A special thanks to my husband for insisting I go to the hospital. Even though I didn't want to. Those of us in the medical profession really make lousy patients.

As you can see I was not feeling very well. Hence, a really bad picture.

I felt like 100 years old. I was so happy to see Jaime, my Respiratory Therapist.

When you can't breath they (RT'S) are your angels.

Angela came by with a bag of goodies and well wishes from work.

Thank you Angela. Just seeing your face lifted my spirits. I sure miss everyone at work. : (

Sept 19th, 2011

12 days post first treatment.

Hi everybody, and a big "Happy Birthday" to my Dad.

I already caught my first cold that my husband brought home from work just for me! They started me on the big guns ( CIPRO) and am feeling much better.

My hair is beginning to fall out. Now I know how guys feel. I'm kinda afraid of my pillow in the morning.
For those dog lovers out there I'm "blowing my coat".

It has been great having my Mom here. No one can take care of you like your mom!

My heart and prayers go out to everyone affected by the crash at the Reno Air Races. Randy and I have attended it many times. My sisiter-in-law was there at the races but was not harmed thank God ( She was there just minutes before the crash getting a burger)!

Today was good day, I met with a friend for lunch at Fashion Valley Cheesecake Factory. Most everyone knows Stacy aka. Lincoln now Collsiter. Her's a picture of us after lunch.

I start this assualt on the 7th of sept. We are hitting it with a one two punch for 8wks and then following it up with another 8 wks of tap dancing on its face...ooh can't wait.

By the time we're done this thing will be a threatening as wet toilet paper.

plastic nightmare

Okay,

Randy and I saw the plastic surgeon today.

Not only was he late, but he took a phone call in the middle of my examination.

From our end this is what we heard. " okay I'm kind of busy now can I talk to you later".

I'm checking into another plastic guy...that was so disrespectful.

Okay now I'm just pissed off.

Okay, this is where you can find updates about what 's happening.

I now have a name for this type of cancer it's called triple negative or (TNBC).

I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon today and next monday I have one  with my Oncologist.

As it stands now, the plan is chemotherapy to shrink the little bastard and then lumpectomy to remove it.

This can change without subject of notification, so please keep your arms and legs inside the cart at all times because it's going to be one hell of ride.

Love you all,
Debbie
